This month we are going
to start working on the relationship energy of our
homes.
Let’s get into some of the specifics for this area.
The relationship area of your home can be found
in the far back right corner according to the Bagua map.
For some of you, this area is out on the lanai,
or maybe it is actually outside of your home because of
a house shape that is not square or rectangular.
I can hear you now, “AHA!
That is why I have no relationship, my area is
MISSING!”
Let’s not panic, this too can be fixed.
The relationship area covers all of
the different relationships in your life.
I have read some books that refer to this as the
Marriage Area, but that really isn’t all there is to it.
We all have relationships in our lives, and if
they are not working, it really has a negative impact on
our lives.
The questions I ask to determine if
this area is out of balance are as follows:
Do you have relationships that nourish and
support you?
Does your relationship meet your needs?
Are you treated well in your relationships?
Are you happy with the state of your current
relationships?
If this answer is no this is the space where we
begin making adjustments.
The Relationship area is governed by
the earth element.
It is the area for symbols of couples, pairs, and
peace. This
area is nurtured with small amounts of fire, a pair of
candles would be a good addition, (but be careful, as a
lot of red here can make your relationships volatile and
uncomfortable).
The colors associated with this area
are first, the colors of earth, which are browns and
yellows.
Yellow is especially good for healing relationships.
The brown shades are wonderful for stability.
Red is the color that we use to ignite passion,
and is used a lot by my single male clients to improve
the quantity and quality of their sex lives.
Purple tones are used by couples who
desire loyalty and devotion and it is also considered a
safe fire color, meaning it adds spark without the burn!
For women who are looking to get married, we use
the color peach to activate what the Chinese call ‘Peach
Blossom Luck’.
Peach is considered THE color to bring in the
marriage relationship.
I’ve seen women use it on the walls, in sheets,
lingerie, and even on their toenails!
Hey, whatever works, right?
Be very careful of the symbols you
choose to use in this space.
Years ago, following a breakup with a long-term
boyfriend, I came to the conclusion that I just wanted a
pretty man to date…no stress, nothing serious.
So to bring that in I looked through GQ magazine
and cut out pictures of very sexy, attractive men and I
placed those pictures behind a large picture of
lovebirds that was hanging in my relationship corner.
Within three weeks I was dating a man who looked
like he had stepped off of the cover of GQ.
He had the looks, the clothes, the car.
I should mention a disclaimer here…he also had no
brains.
But, you have to remember what I had placed!
I wanted a pretty guy, and I got a pretty guy.
I had a female client many years ago
who called me in with the complaint that her
relationships were ‘dead’.
It seemed her once very active dating life had
fizzled!
She showed me into her master bedroom, which was located
in the relationship sector of her home, and jumped in
front of me.
I asked her what she was hiding and she turned
around holding a ceramic vase.
Understand, ceramic objects are a wonderful
addition to the relationship corner, as they do strongly
represent earth element.
Unfortunately, across the front of the vase were
the words 'Ashes of Dead Lovers’.
<Grin>
That is a pretty bad symbol to have if you are
trying to draw positive relationships to yourself.
Check out your
relationship corner this week.
Repair any broken objects, clean out overcrowded
or cluttered closets, add some warmth as well as some
romantic objects to your space, and watch the energy
shift!
Blessings,
Lori
